Observation notes: A typically-hot mostly-sunny summer morning near the Des Plaines River at Miller Meadow Forest Preserve at the boundary between the woods and the field. Many of the flowers in the "meadow" had already gone to seed, but the butterflies were feeding on the relatively few remaining.
