Observation notes: Today's weather was in the high 50's with increasing clouds as a minor front was approaching. Breezy. Yet there were some butterflies out on the "Volcano" in Carlsbad's Calavera Preserve. This one showed some activity before landing to sunbathe on bare rock around his favorite brush, the Buckwheat. Also observed several hilltopping Ladies nearby on the summit.
