Observation notes: The first individual I observed in 2021, nectaring from whorled milkweed flowers in the floodplain of the Rio Grande. Dark yellow, globose organisms among the flowers may be observed and are oleander aphids. The mid-day was hot, breezy, and under full sunshine.
