Observation notes: Individual nectaring from whorled milkweed flowers in the floodplain of the Rio Grande. This species moves slowly from flower-to-flower, collects pollen packets (pollinia/pollinaria) on its legs, and is likely a pollinator of milkweeds. The mid-day was hot, breezy, and under full sunshine.
