Observation notes: +23 degrees Celsius, mainly sunny, winds SW 43 km/h gusting to 56 km/h. There were several of them around the yard, front and back flitting about and feeding on the Puschkinia flowers.

Coordinator notes: Both the Western White and Checkered White females have pronounced markings and are similar, but this specimen has dark markings above that are black and heavy greenish scaling below that are typical of Western Whites. Early spring specimens usually are darker than later.
