Coordinator notes: The first photo you have a cool-looking intergrade between the White Admiral and Red-spotted Purple. You can tell by the faint white band traversing the middle of the FW. The second photo appears to be a pure Red-spotted Purple. White Admirals and Red-spotted Purples are actually the same species, with the former a more northern variant, and the latter a more southern variant. Chippewa County exists in the transition zone between the two, where you can see either form, or various intergrades between the two. -jmgesell
