Coordinator notes: Your suggested IDs are correct...based on the number and well developed orange lunules on the hindwings, the ID is closer to the Purplish rather than the Mountain Copper (which has 3-4 lunules usually and not as continually connected as this one in your photo) but this could be a mixture of both (somewhat intermediate so a number of them might vary from this and include ones that would be fully the Mountain Copper (Lycaena florus). The BAMONA name list does not include the Mountain Copper and the Dorcas Copper does not occur in the southern portion of the Southern Rocky Mountains. Some consider the two related but they have different hosts and life history. For what this is worth...Mike
