Observation date: June 28, 2022

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Clear, quiet morning on forest trail. Saw other butterflies that were clearly Chryxus Arctic, but this one landed on wood next to us and permitted iPhone photos at very close distance. From subsequent study, and after checking with Mike Fisher, I am confident it is jutta.

Coordinator notes: Confirmatory ID Craig...thanks for submitting the sighting to BAMONA...I actually recorded jutta for the first time in Boulder County in 1990 but not in RMNP. It was along an old spur road from that going up to the old town of Caribou above Nederland, if you know that area to any degree. It was not found in the NP until some years later. It has also been sighted around Brainard Lake as well. Mike
