Observation notes: Female orange sulphur depositing eggs on the upper leaf surface of a false indigobush tall shrub. The site is on the bank of the Rio Grande just south of the I-10 bridge structure. This individual circled and landed many times within a few minutes while selecting the leaves to be used for ovipositing. The mid-day was hot, breezy, and under a clear sky.

Coordinator notes: Jim, you did it again. Being a legume, Amorpha fruticosa is a known host for Orange Sulphur, but now you have documented it for sure in Dona Ana County.
