Observation notes: Specimens of mine that have survived, or barely so after "carpet beetle" infestations decades ago. This is P. saepiolus hilda, female. I was collecting right atop 8,013 foot Frazier Mountain that day. Speyeria callippe macaria we're very common, many Papilio eurymedon we're hill topping that day as well
