Observation notes: I was able to get just one photo of this butterfly. I could not get close to it. It would approach flowers but very seldom land. This picture was taken the rare moment it did land, but it did not stay very long. It is not a good photo, but it does show the contrasting black and orange on the dorsal side of the forewings and hindwings.
