Date notes: Time: I don't know the time. It didn't want to take the date of observation, so I thought I'd try making up a time and see if that worked. Sometime in the afternoon

Observation notes: In the field by my house. I'm not sure now, but I THINK this was the butterfly I saw flying, then land. It was bright yellow, but I didn't notice any other markings. I went to take a photo of it perched and was totally surprised at the colors. I've not seen one like this before, but I've not identified a lot of butterflies, so... ! It doesn't seem to match either of my suggestions, but those are the closest to what I could research. Initially I couldn't find this web site and so tried another, and these are the two possibilities they suggested. I'll look for this one again, or one like it, and watch it fly, maybe get a photo. I'd like to ID this, and submit it as a sighting. Hope I'm doing this correctly. Thank you for your help! :- )
