Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: There were many of these skippers along a 3 mile stretch of meadow/trail. I am assuming all three are of the Juba (or whatever species if I've mis-identified), but the first photo definitely seems quite green compared to the other two, and with much more defined spots. I don't know if it's the lighting/angle, an individual difference, or if #2/3 are a different species (Western Branded would be my other guess for these two).

Coordinator notes: All three are the Western Branded Skipper...the first one on the grass seed head is interesting...the spots on the wing looks almost like that of the Pahaska Skipper but the only place in eastern Colorado where there is a second flight of that skipper in late summer is on the southern-southeastern prairie.
