Observation notes: Above 9000 ft, at the base of a rock pile decorating the line of the narrow ridge connecting Holt Mountain to its neighbor to the southwest, close to the neighbor. The butterfly was returning to locations within mere three feet or so of its original location. A warm, pleasant day that was to turn stormy later.
