Purplish Copper
Lycaena helloides

Observation notes: I did a test record of this, making the location closer to the trailhead even though I had been higher up -- but it still shows Jackson County, but you state it should be Larimer County. I can't do anything about that -- and unable to delete this record, so I'm sorry you'll have to reject this one again. (for what it's worth, this location was below the alpine visitor center on the west side of the park - so it's definitely not on the east side of the park. I have no idea where the county lines fall nor where precisely the continental divide falls - I just know that at the start of this hike, about a mile down the trail from this location (mostly switchbacks so not that far as the crow flies), at Poudre Lake, on this map it has the continental divide icon - so if this location should be Larimer then this mapping issue should probably be forwarded to someone who might be able to fix it)

Coordinator notes: Mountain Copper (species should be Lycaena florus)...yes according to your plot location along the Ute Trail, this is in Larimer County, not Jackson...from there if you cross the Continental Divide on Milner Pass, you would be in Grand County...Jackson is on to the north and west. So there must be a glitch in the computer that calls out the county. Mike
