Observation notes: Distinctive AZ subspecies of Thin-banded. Barnes' would have a much narrower PM band, narrower basal yellow streaks, and a gray vertex (top of head). There were many of these present at least 60 individuals with several on each flower head. The underside was red. They were on a creek nectaring on Seep Willow.
