Coordinator notes: Christian...I was able to download Eff's records diary without any problem (took almost 8 minutes...788 Mb (!). I didn't think my server (Spectrum-Charter here in western Colorado) would let that go through but it did...I don't do a lot of download of any large sizes normally unless someone sends me unreduced photos. Back to this verification...I think I explained that the two spots that compose the upper (anterior) part of the macular uhw are typically separated on pahaska - the upper separated and variously basal to the second lower one (depends on how big spots are...the smaller as the individual in this submissions show, the more separation is noticeable. On viridis the upper spot sits slightly basally but is in contact with the lower, second spot (sometimes almost separated but usually touching on close examination). On juba the upper is stacked right on top of the second, typically with little basal offset. Some viridis in the Front Range tend to have the lower (posterior) part of the macular band without much of a turn-down to the anal part of the hindwings but the spots are close-in contact with each other as I described and easily used to confirm the identification. The example I show (and discuss) in BOC 6 is one like this...from Indian Gulch, Jefferson Co. (I think the first gulch when you enter Clear Creek Canyon just before Tunnel 1...now signed by Jefferson Co. Open Space as a closed area...the target shooters use to use that spot for target practice)...good spot for Ambly. aenus and oslari also. Glad you and your family are doing well. Finishing up your remaining 5 sighting submissions which finishes the sightings assigned to me. Mike
