Observation notes: Flying in hilly, pinyon-juniper habitat, alighting on the ground and basking at approx. 7,280 ft. elev. A total of six were observed during our 5.4-mile hike. The species was first observed by us in Santa Fe County this year at Cerrillos Hills SP on February 21, but no photos were obtained.
