Observation notes: Near a floodlight on my deck. This was up on the underside of the eaves and I didn't have my ladder out yet so didn't get a good sense of size. Look also at A. maxima, although I think nigrolina is much more likely. But maxima generally has fewer markings.

Coordinator notes: This moth has a checkerboard pattern along the perimeter which matches those approved on iNat. I don't know what the decision will be on BugGuide since the only records they have are from the far west. iNat has several posted from Minnesota near your location.
