Observation date: August 06, 2023
Submitted by: Marta Reece
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I counted 14 individuals fluttering through the undergrowth in a pinon woodland during our 7 miles of hiking. 3 more were drinking from one of the two barely wet seeps we saw during the day. There was no other water.
The first two photos are of the same individual, the third has been added to show dorsal side variation.

Coordinator notes: of course; I hide nothing. if you want info please just ask. sometimes my knowledge is old.
drought aside, SW NM has quite few interesting critters flying in late summer and well into autumn (hint, hint)
