Observation notes: Seen just east of the summit of Monitor Pass, along with many other Hairstreaks, Pontia, Speyeria, Ladies, Blues, and hundreds of White Lined Sphinx Moths. I saw three different Hairstreaks feeding at the same time on one Yellow Buckwheat plant. Light and gray on the outside, but very dark on inside wings. Quite a contrast when they flew.
