Observation notes: This individual has been hanging around for days - possibly weeks - in this one summit meadow area, in a Buckwheat hedgeline separating the meadow from adjacent trail and dirt fire road. The area has been quite productive for butterflies of several kinds, including various Blues, Hairstreaks, Dainty Sulphur, Whites and some larger species. The weather on this day was warm and partly cloudy (with an approaching tropical system from the south).
