Observation notes: Yesterday I visited my favorite local CA Dogface spot hoping to get a picture of a male with wings open to show some friends. But alas, it was murky, warm, but no sun, and all the Zerene's were nowhere to be seen. Today I was watering in my garden at home when this guy flew up and landed right on a flower at my feet. I whipped out my iPhone and captured the moment. You just never know.
