Observation notes: Individual displaying on a three-square bulrush stem and flying among Spiny Chloracantha and Horsetail Milkweed plants at an open reach of the Rio Grande. One or two per day may be observed in this river reach along with very low numbers of other butterfly species common along this riparian habitat. The mid-day was warm, windy, and under full sun.
