Observation notes: Yes, an extremely common butterfly, but I wanted to make a record of how late in the year I saw it...seems unusually late to me, especially after a hard freeze a couple weeks ago, and several nights of freezing since. We've continued to have unusually warm days, and I'm still seeing these butterflies regularly.
