Observation notes: In my garden, Atenas, Alajuela, Costa Rica - I think there should be some subspecies of this since my other sighting was literally violet as in the name and this one is white frosted and there are orange highlights.

Coordinator notes: See my "Observation Notes" above, when I first observed I thought Violet-frosted was the best match, but since putting on iNaturalist . . . but since posting on iNaturalist I now believe it is Cogia calchas, Mimosa Skipper, and thus changing it to that in March 2025. iNaturalist doesn't show it appearing in Costa Rica.
