Observation notes: A number of fairly fresh Azures (at least 12) were seen today on the damp road through the forest. They seemed larger in size than the typical C. ladon I see in Northampton County, and also seem to be in flight a bit late (especially in larger numbers like today). Black Cohosh are known to be in the area, however I didn't have too much time to look around to see if I could find any. C. neglectamajor, perhaps? They did appear a little darker ventrally than expected for neglectamajor, so maybe they are just ladon and flying later with the cooler Pocono climate. Thanks for your input!
