Observation notes: Seen aggressively guarding the trail against all comers (including me - it literally attacked the cell-phone as I attempted to film its flight). This section of trail has the landscape transitioning from a Eucalyptus grove to a more standard riparian environ, with Sycamore, Mulefat, and grasses. This individual used Sycamore leaves as a resting perch between patrols. Weather was mostly sunny with patchy coastal fog and temps in the upper 60's.
