Observation notes: Seen mating in the middle of a dusty trail, down at the bottom of a ravine; a dry creek, with typical moisture-loving plant community, Oaks, Lemonadeberry, and chaparral vegetation. So yes, both male and female pictured. Day was clear, slightly breezy (gusty) and temperatures in the low 70's.
