Observation notes: It's a warm overcast night in Central Maine. Dead calm. Perfect weather conditions. It just flew out of the darkness and landed near an outside light. I've lived here for 50+ years, and I've never seen one like this. A Google image search identified it as a Racheospila (Emerald Moth.) That's how I found this cool site too. I took a quick video with flash on. As well as a few pictures. Some with flash, some without. The setting was "Ultra Resolution." (50 mp)
