Coordinator notes: This one had me fooled at first, too, because of the ventral hindwing submarginal pale spots which you so cleverly photographed and included. they can indicate Mournful. however, the hindwing fringe is gray, not bright white. So it cannot be Mournful. since it is not mournful, then those pale dots (kind of pale yellow) are consistent with afranius or persius, either of which is certainly possible in that area. I'm going with afranius because you were not on a hilltop, which is where persius usually hangs out.
