Coordinator notes: This individual has some similarity to the eastern tiger swallowtail, which is rare in Maine. The relationship of these phenotypes with the common Canadian tiger swallowtail in this region is uncertain. Given the thick black line along the inner edge of the hindwing, I would determine this as a Canadian tiger. More research is needed!
