Coordinator notes: Arachne Checkerspot (aka Beardtongue Checkerspot because the only host is Penstemon)...has different shape to the wings but easily confused. Many people seem to have a problem telling the Northern Checkerspot apart from the Anicia Checkerspot also which has a more rounded forewing apex than the Northern. Mike
