Meadow Fritillary
Boloria bellona

Observation date: August 05, 2024
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Near Soda Creek / willows / wet area, around 8,500 ft elevation. Thought Frigga was a possibility based on the two [not great] photos I got of its underside.
Status: Resident
Verified by: mikefisher
Verified date: September 13, 2024
Coordinator notes: Meadow Fritillary...Sagata (Frigga) is rarely below 9000 feet...in and around (but mostly in) scrub (short growth) willow bogs (fens)...you can usually expect to get your feet wet finding the frigga lesser fritillary. Mike
