Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: August 19, 2024
Submitted by: ButtahflyEtn37354
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Sunny noon. Flying low over the lawn.
Status: Resident
Verified by: James Steen
Verified date: August 28, 2024
Coordinator notes: First pic with sun light showing slight yellow underside looked like C. philodice, a female. In flight showing white color with heaviy-ish border, larger spots is definitely a white form female of C. eurytheme. Undersides of white females of C. eurytheme are commonly slight dusky yellow while white females of C. philodice can have a very slight greenish blue dusting underneath. Thanks, JAMES STEEN
