Coordinator notes: Recent genomic work by Nick Grishin's group suggests santacruza what has been considered a subspecies of sylvanoides is actually a different species than sylvanoides. I have no strong opinion about that and will wait for more responses from other scientists. In the meantime, I follow the traditional approach-Ken Davenport
