Observation notes: Sunny afternoon in mid-70s F, no wind. Butterfly was observed briefly perching on various parts of lupine wildflower plants. Different angles of view of the dorsal side reveal iridescence changing between copper, rust, and blue shades. Meadow flowers in bloom include lupines, yarrow, cow-parsnip, and paintbrush species.
