Coordinator notes: The two species can be difficult to tell apart, however, if you get a view of the ventral HW (as in your photos), you can see a blue "comet" buried within the arc of orange spots. Often times, it is pure blue without any hint of orange, but can at times have a slight orange tint to the "comet" head as in your individual. P. polyxenes would also have an extra orange spot within the discal cell on the ventral HW, which is lacking in this individual. -jmgesell
