Observation notes: The one butterfly seen on this hike, and is was both difficult to spot and photograph. A single individual flitting from branch to branch. Likely male, based on inner wing pattern. Eventually lost track of it. The day was unusually warm for the average day this season, but quite breezy with an approaching storm off the coast.
