Observation notes: Found earlier in the day by a birder. Was able to observe two adults, one of which I recorded in a poor cell phone image. I was also able to find a new egg laid on Twist-leaf Yucca. The skippers were found in a rocky open area hosting abundant yucca and other native plants; classic habitat for M. streckeri ssp. texana. Sunny and warm, ca. 30 ºC.
