Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I have seen a white butterfly that I believe is a Cabbage White laying eggs on this Russian Kale plant. On the underside of the leaves I have found several of these caterpillars. I have a photo that was taken today of one of these butterflies laying eggs on this Kale. I was looking to find the eggs, when I discovered the caterpillars. But these white butterflies frequent my garden and the Kale, Turnips, Radishes, and Beets are not doing very well.
