Observation notes: Very active caterpillar. Interesting features at the back end with elongated black "legs/feet" and a hump with a spot. This caterpillar actually has a very purple gray coloring, as well as the other colors (the photo colors are accurate) It appeared to be on walnut. It was high humidity and heat (upper 80's) in a mostly oak and walnut forest.
