Observation notes: These guys were all over our tent/campground on our camping trip in San Simeon, CA. One made it back home with us and cocooned in the trunk of my car. I'm afraid he might not make it :( but I'm very curious in identifying.

Coordinator notes: Orgyia probably vetusta, but the "Orgyia vetusta complex, has in California at least three species for which the taxonomy remains somewhat uncertain" (from MPG).
