Observation date: August 15, 2013

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I thought this moth was Bellura obliqua but it was pointed out that it was late in the season for that species and that this would more likely be Bellura densa.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: They are tough to separate by looking at them. B. oblique has a white stripe on the outer edge of the reniform spot. This moth looks very good for B. densa. From what I have read there may be another species mixed in so until the Bellura get straightened out I am putting this here in B. densa. Good Find!
