  Sighting 931213

Observation date: August 31, 2013
Submitted by: cbruner
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Found at night. Small moth at 1/2 inch but body seems big compared to wings.
Status: Resident
Verified by: Josiah Gilbert
Verified date: September 26, 2013
Coordinator notes: It's a good thing I can see the hindwing. Otherwise, this identification could have been impossible since there are many species that look very similar on the forewing. Since the hindwing is gray (as opposed to white in the other very similar species) this is Mythimna oxygala.
