Observation notes: while eating a lunch this butterfly kept coming by very hot day, easy to see the top side when it flutters by slowly, out line of poodle head. on coast sunflower lot's of false indigo along trail, sage scrub and chaparral with scrub oak and then pine on back of ridge.
