Observation notes: Observed in Great Smoky Mtn Nat'l Park. 35.59954 N, 83.56767 W (elevation 3,325'). Caterpillar was on a downed white pine log. The weather was about 70 F and 90% humidity. A heavy rainstorm began shortly after I took these photos.
