Wing Span: 11.0 -21.0 mm
Life History:
Flight: Populations emerge when the local host flowers.
Caterpillar Hosts: Yucca pallida, Y. rostrata (incl. Y. rigida), Y. glauca, Y. angustissima (incl. Y. kanabensis), Y. baileyi (incl. Y. intermedia, Y. navajoa, and Y. standleyi), Y. elata, and Y. harrimaniae (incl. Y. gilbertiana and Y. neomexicana).
Adult Food:
Habitat: In desert, grassland, openings in pine or deciduous forest, or coastal chaparral and dunes with Yucca. Ref.: ToL
Range: Southern Montana, NW Wyoming, SW S. Dakota, W Nebraska, E. Colorado, SW half of Kansas, SW MO, SE half of New Mexico, W & Central TX, OK.
